Wireless and Wired LAN
We all know that wireless LAN has been performing poorly. After the recent maintenance session, DC++ was blocked. Wired LAN is now following in the footsteps of Wireless. With speeds between adjacent rooms in OBH varying at around 400 kbps, it is only a matter of time before some of the predictions in ORB's post come true.

nice to see someone blogging..
whats the use of reserving blogging rights if no one is using it..
has iiit turned into a dead place ?
diwali,new rules , what not
thers a lot to crib about .

Why don't iiit gets expert sysadmins and upgrade its resources. It gets funded with lot of money every year and also we are paying them handsome fees. I think profs and management are playing politics here... anyways this is not going to last for ever...

DC is back...could someone let us all know why it was down...was it the sysadmin's or someone else..how come its back all of sudden that too on a sunday evening ;)
PS: wireless is suking again...
PS2: conclusion => DC++ chokes wlan
PS3: ftp servers rox
dc++ is back, true but still WLAN users are not able to connect to wired users and vice versa. this leaves DC++ as just a readboard tool for WLAN users .
If they cant improve the facilities or they cant let others improve then IIIT should pay 1000 rupees fine to everyone. Slow internet speed is costing us on our education.
